48" x 72" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Palette Knife Painting

This painting is filled with color and texture, as I used a palette knife on it.  This painting is abstract and is currently hanging in our home.  It has just about every color in it, ranging from dark jewel tones to bright yellows and crisp greens.  The oranges and reds warm it up and add contrast to the falling leaves.  Contact Kay Wyne for purchasing information.  Thanks, KMW

Day # 25 in the 30/30 Paint Challenge

My painting for the paint challenge was a scraper.  Just didn't make the cut, so I am posting one of my contemporary aspen paintings.  I usually choose a square or vertical format for my aspens, but Blowing In The Wind is on a heavy duty (thick and chunky) horizontal stretcher bars.  I used bold colors, brushes and the palette knife.  The trees are thick and textured, as are the leaves that are falling.  This painting is for sale....contact Kay for purchasing information.  It is ready for a new home!  Thanks, Kay
